Possible Canada Post Strike or Lockout
July 2016
As part of our commitment to keeping our members informed, we would like to let you know that there is a risk of a Canada Post mail interruption, due to possible strike action.
How does this impact you?
In the event of a postal strike, you may experience a delay in the delivery of your DUFFIELD REA power bill. In addition, if you mail your payments to Rocky REA they may not reach us on time. It's important to note that paying on time during a strike is still required. To make sure you have the latest information about your balance and to avoid late fees, it is best to make an electronic payment through your bank. Cheques can be physically dropped off in Lynne's mail box (2511 514a Parkland County). You can contact us at duffieldrea@gmail.comor 780-906-WIRE (9473). Information on amounts owing will be available.
Hopefully this does not last long if at all, but we have to be prepared.
UPDATE:
As an update to a possible mail strike- we will make arrangements with a local business to accept payment drop offs.
